Destiny
D, E, F and I just watched "Kung Fu Panda". While it was very entertaining, it was also extremely profound. I must admit that all of my inspiration comes from animated movies. It seems to have been that way for the last, ooooh twenty years. There really is a lot of wisdom doled out in these CHILDISH shows. While the children who are viewing them may not get it, this mother does. I never cease to quote lines from their favorites hoping that some day, they will understand. But.... what a waste of opportunity if we are using the TV as a babysitter and not a learning opportunity. I truly restrict the amount of time spent in front of the idiot box, but the time spent there can be very useful. IF we are watching WITH them.
The panda in tonight's show had a dream but did not believe he had the skill to fulfill it. How many people do you know like that? He continued to live in his comfortable world of familiarity because he could not see himself any other way. When he learned to trust in his Master, he became a hero for his people. All the while, the truth had been inside of him, but he refused to see it. If it has been a while since you have indulged in a kids show, find a small friend and rent 'Kung Fu Panda'. See it by yourself if you dare :-). While having a good laugh, you just might be inspired!
