So where have I been?

We got back from our ski trip to Red River, New Mexico on Sunday at 1AM. The trip went so, so. Bradlee started out with the bonified, diagnosed, nasal swabbed FLU! Gina and Amber followed soon after with horribles coughs and such. We all stayed away from them as much as we could, but we were on vacation TOGETHER!

Brandon, Conrad and Uncle Tom skiied while trading back and forth between snow boards and skis. Conrad had boarded before and really prefers it, but it is so much faster than skis that it is hard to stay together with a pac. Stephen and Evan took lessons one day and both had a great time. Evan is king if the hill!!!! On Friday, after the whole week with no new snow, an icy patch caught Conrad as he came over a jump and he broke his wrist. This was all caught lovingly by Uncle Tom on video and will be viewable shortly on U-Tube!! Instead of going to the minor emergency clinic in Red River where we would have to leave Gretta for adoption to pay for a broken arm, we drove to Taos to get his arm set. Dolan and Felicia were not of the opinion that skiing really looked all that fun, so we spent most of our time watching people on the slopes. Gretta did not care, she will sleep any where, including the entire way in the car!!! AMAZING

None the less, we arrived home in time to meet a week full of temperature ranging from 101.7 at the lowest to 103.3 at the peek! (Lots of tubby time with that one!) One day of puking, much SNOT and some real coughs. Everyone seems to be on the mend here and actually sat outside in the sunshine for a little while today. 70 degree days in February are just to good to pass up. That really helped Dolan's color come back. Everyone even ate dinner.

After being off school the last week of January for snow ( when public school is out, I let them off). The first week of February for skiing and the second week of February for flu, even the kids are begging to go back to school. They all talked me into doing some stuff today! So I guess next week we can get back to normal, whatever that is!
